This Award champions the very best examples of planning and planners in London. It demonstrates the positive impact planning has on our quality of life and celebrates professional expertise. Eligibility

All types of planning activity are eligible, including plans, processes, projects and completed schemes. Projects completed prior to 1 June 2021 are eligible for entry but particular care should be taken not to enter projects prematurely before their impact and outcomes can be assessed satisfactorily. All projects should have had appropriate approvals in place e.g. planning permission, adoption of plans etc.

Description
This award seeks out the brightest RTPI members in the early stages of their careers. Potential candidates can work in any area of the industry. We are looking for outstanding Young Planners who can demonstrate a contribution to planning or significant career achievements in recent years.

Eligibility
Entrants must be in the first 10 years of post-qualification experience and be a current member of the RTPI. A candidate can nominate themselves or they can also be nominated by an employer, colleague or peer.

Description
The Chair's Award for Inclusive Planning is a discretionary award for 2021 intended to showcase planning projects that have demonstrated best practice in achieving Equality/Equity, Diversity or Inclusion.

Eligibility
Submissions to other RTPI London Awards for Planning Excellence categories may also be considered for this award, or nominations can be made by entering directly here. The award will be given to a project, team or individual that can demonstrate a strong commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). A commitment that is matched by actions designed to ensure that EDI is robustly considered throughout the life of the project and/or inclusive community engagement and/or discharge of public sector duty (if relevant), and/or defining and achieving outcomes that reflect the needs of the local community.
